Hello Guys.I’m going to tell you what my experiences in doing Impromptu art. Do you know Impromptu? An impromptu is one that you do without planning or organizing it in advance. Last December 29, 2012, Thursday we watched the opening of the Private Schools Athletic Association in Laguna (PRISAA). Lyceum of the Philippines University – Laguna was host of this event. Our professor told us to go to the gym and watch the programmed. The emcee in the stage called all the basketball captain of different school and they run around the stage and fired the torch. Our professor told us to draw any thing that has motion that we see around us. And I was socked because I don’t have idea what will I draw to my sketch pad. So I decided to put a man holding a torch on his hand that I saw and I just put some human athletes and I also put 3 circles.

 On that day we saw many athletes from different schools in Laguna. They compete  to other good athletes. First we watched the singing contest in the gym. There are Duets and solo performers. For the duet singers, Lyceum won and in the solo the Lyceum also won. Lyceans are so talented. Then I watched the first game in volley ball boys and the Lyceum defeated their opponent. Then after that we watched Football. Lyceum vs Letran. unfortunately Letran defeated Lyceum in the score of 0-9. Letran was so strong that day.
I enjoyed that day because we just had 1 subject that day because in other subject we don't have classes. That's all. Thank you. :)

“Renaissance" the best periods of art history.

"Renaissance Period"

Renaissance period is the most influential and the best period of art history. Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael Sanzio and many more famous painters. They have contributed so much in the field of art.

Leonardo da Vinci (1452–1519) was an Italian polymath, regarded as the epitome of the "Renaissance Man", displaying skills in numerous diverse areas of study. Whilst most famous for his paintings such as the Mona Lisa and the Last Supper, Leonardo is also renowned as a scientist, engineer and inventor. One of his famous invention is "The Vitruvian Man" this is the best known drawing in the world.

Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (April 6 or March 28, 1483 – April 6, 1520), better known simply as Raphael, was an Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance. His work is admired for its clarity of form and ease of composition and for its visual achievement of the Neoplatonic ideal of human grandeur. Together with Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he forms the traditional trinity of great masters of that period. One of his famous painting is the School of Athens. 


Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (6 March 1475 – 18 February 1564), commonly known as Michelangelo, was an Italian Renaissance sculptor, painter, architect, poet, and engineer who exerted an unparalleled influence on the development of Western art. Despite making few forays beyond the arts, his versatility in the disciplines he took up was of such a high order that he is often considered a contender for the title of the archetypal Renaissance man, along with fellow Italian Leonardo da Vinci.


 David is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture created between 1501 and 1504, by the Italian artist Michelangelo. It is a 5.17-metre (17.0 ft) marble statue of a standing male nude.

Mona Lisa the famous painting

Hi! It’s been a month since I last posted an entry on my blog. It’s already our second semester in our first year college. Our blog entry for this week is about “Mona Lisa”.  

Do you know Mona Lisa? When I heard the word Mona Lisa the first thing that comes to my mind is the Song “Beautiful in my Eyes” by Kadison Joshua because in that song there is lyrics about Mona Lisa. This is some part of those lyrics so you could understand what I’m saying. ^_^

You're my Mona Lisa,
You're my rainbow skies,
And my only prayer is that you realize
You'll always be beautiful in my eyes.

When I imagine the famous painting of Leonardo da Vinci the thing that comes always to my mind is an ordinary girl sitting and smiling wearing a black dress.

According to the article that I have read, Mona Lisa (La Gioconda or La Joconde, or Portrait of Lisa Gherardini, wife of Francesco del Giocondo) is a half-length portrait of a woman by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci, which has been acclaimed as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world."

The painting, thought to be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of Francesco Del Giocondo, is in oil on a poplar panel, and is believed to have been painted between 1503 and 1506. It was acquired by King Francis I of France and is now the property of the French Republic, on permanent display at the Musée du Louvre in Paris.The ambiguity of the subject's expression, frequently described as enigmatic, the monumentality of the composition, the subtle modeling of forms and the atmospheric illusionism were novel qualities that have contributed to the continuing fascination and study of the work.
I know almost all the people in the world knew the famous painting done by Leonardo da Vinci which is Mona Lisa. Some says that the expression of Mona Lisa is changing but I don’t know if that is true. Just investigate the mystery of Mona Lisa and maybe someday you may know it. HAHAHA. That’s all. Thank you.

Week 10: Creativity

            "Things to do to enhance creativity"

In our project in Communication Technology and New Media, creativity is so needed because making video is not easy. You must be creative and imaginative to create your video interested to the people who are watching your video. Some video are boring to watch because their concept is not interesting so the video becomes boring. My group mates are Chelsie, Don, JC, and James. When we had our meeting for planning what we will do in your video we shared different ideas and all of us had a work to do in our video. We had complications in what we will do in our video. So we brainstorm and thanks to God that we had a plan in our video. We must have the team work and cooperation to make our things good.  

 

The creative potential of brainstorming shouldn’t be underestimated and can be beneficial for your creativity. These tools help our brain to establish links and put together different ideas with each other. A brainstorming session can help you to generate a dozen of new ideas, concepts and associations. 

 

The definition of creativity is the ability to produce something new through imaginative skill, whether new solutions to a problem, a new method or device, or a new artistic object or form.–answers.com

Things to do to enhance creativity we must first Brainstorm. Brainstorming can help you not only come up with sacks full of new ideas, but can help you decide which is best. Second you must explore about the things you what to do. Third is make time for creativity. You won't be able to develop your creative talents if you don't make time for them. And lastly enjoy, don’t focus to the result of your work, just enjoy the things that you create to avoid stress. :)

Week 9:All About Blogging

"All About Blogging" 

In our Communication Technology and New Media subject which is our major subject it is required for us to create and to make blog. When I started blogging, I had difficulties in making and designing my Blog Spot because that is my first time to do it. At that time I was so nervous that time that I thought I can’t make it but by the helped of my classmates they told us how to create some things in our Blog Spot account so I learned many thing trough them. I know that I’m not that good in making a blog but at least I tried. Trough blogging I can express myself and I can say whatever I want. Blogging helps us to learn more things and it has many uses.

Blogging has proved to be an effective tool for a variety of purposes such as broadcasting of news, connecting with other people, direct marketing and so on. Though blogging was started by Internet users to keep online diaries, it became popular for other uses such as journalism, news broadcasting, political commentary and Internet marketing later on. Apart from such professional uses, blogging is also popular as a hobby and for keeping in touch with friends.

Week 8: Effects Of New Media To Us

 "Effects of New Media to us"

 

Hi Guys! We have another topic for this week. What is the effect of new media to us? Hmm. New media like the internet, TV or phones provide immense possibilities to communicate fast and cheap. Where in former times several days were needed to transport information across a medium distances, you can now send an instant message to somebody on the opposite side of the world in microseconds. Although technology and invention have many advantages and disadvantages, the main reason things are invented is to make a task easier to perform. Technology makes tasks easier, quicker, more efficient, and better. 

Internet use can interfere with daily life, work, and relationships. When you feel more comfortable with your online friends than your real ones, or you can’t stop yourself from playing games, gambling, or compulsively surfing even when it has negative consequences in your life then you may be using the Internet too much. We must use our time wisely because internet have also disadvantages. :)

Week 7: Rainy Day

"Rainy Day"

I remember when I was a child we used to play in the rain; we love dancing and playing in the rain and we still do this sometimes.

There are so many things you can do during rainy days. You can sleep the whole day, draw, sing, clean the house, listen to music, go on computer, watch TV, go outside and dance in the rain or whatever you want to do.

But for me, one the things I usually do during rainy day is to stay at home and watch TV with my brothers. We love watching adventure, action, horror and FUNNY movies :D. Some of our favourite movies are Battleship, Avatar, Final Destination, Orphan, 3 idiots and many others.

At our school in Lyceum of the Philippines University- Laguna we always play football. We prefer that it rains rather than it shines because it is difficult to play football under the sun. Our beautiful skins will be damage. Joke.haha. But when it rains us also having difficulties in playing because of the mud and it’s slippery and the ball is hard to kick. Even though it’s hard it’s more fun to play football when it rains.

We must be thankful to God that he gave us Rain. It helps us to water the gardens. Rain also helps us to suspend our class, just like this Monday and Tuesday we have no class because of continuous raining. The rain has so many benefits for us.We must value it and enjoy it. :)

Week 6: Internet Highway

"Internet Highways"

When we heard the word INTERNET, what comes to your mind? For me, Internet has a ton of information that anything you may want to know or need to know is there.

Internet highway is like a road that you may go anywhere you want. There are so many things that internet can do for us. Today social networking sites have become an important part of the online community. Almost all users are members use it for personal and business purposes.  People are connecting with others though internet and finding new friends or finding their life partners. Internet not only helps to find the right person but also to continue the relationship.

On internet we can find all forms of entertainment from watching films to playing games online. Almost anyone can find the right kind of entertainment for themselves. When people surf the Web, there are numerous things that can be found. Music, hobbies, news and more can be found and shared on the Internet. There are numerous games that may be downloaded from the Internet for free.

 Thanks to the internet that gives us happiness and makes our lives easier. But we must know our limitations in using the internet because it also has disadvantages to us. Use it wisely. ^_^ 

WEEK 5: The MMA Family

Week 5: The Multimedia Arts Family

Hi Guys! We have another topic for this week. The Multimedia arts Family. July 19, Thursday, we had a General assembly for Multimedia Arts students. We discuss about the entire topic which concerns in our course. The first thing we did is we elect officers in MMA. We have so much fun that time because some of the 2^nd year and 3^rd year students gives some jokes. We had set the date of our team building event.We also had our class picture that day.We had our class picture that day. Some of the 2^nd year and 3^rd year student gives us tips on how can we manage our time properly.

We learned many new things that we can use to survive college life. We also meet new friends that we can console if we need their help because they are so kind. Team Work :)

Week 4: Team Work :D

 

What comes first to your mind when you heard the word "Team Work"? Hmm. For me Teamwork is about helping each other to be successful in one thing. Teamwork is extremely important to the success of any team. All coaches, teachers, parents and some people talk about working as one unit, as a unified team. You can have a group of superstars, but if they do not work well as one unit, chances are they are not going to be as successful as you would think. The team working as one cohesive unit is going to be the key in their success.

We must have team work to succeed at the task in hand everyone involved needs to combine their efforts. If everyone does their job well, then it increases what the team can accomplish. This teamwork has to be recognized by everyone and know that great things can happen if individuals master the fundamentals and work together as one unit. Everyone has their own unique role, but each person's individual role must be recognized and appreciated.

In our Communication Technology and New Media subject which is our major subject we must create a 5 minutes video presentation about the Evolution of Communication. We always give idea and we helped each other to finish our 5 minutes video presentation. It’s difficult to make video but if your group work as one it is not impossible to make it.HAHAHA :))

Week 3: How Technology Change Communication

From the beginning of the world we are really born naturally to fulfill the curiosity which we have in mind. That is why anywhere we go we can see different inventions, in fact they come now in variety of brands that we are opted to select. As advance technology vastly developing, name it and we can have it all because we are operated with computers and electronic devices. In fact, as young as six years old, children are already become hook to computers and other gadgets like online games and PSP. Let us see how really technologies greatly develop from nothing to Stone Age and lastly into a world full of machines and equipments which can change our lives forever.

Our communication systems like telephones have also change. From being bulky analogy and broken lines have transformed into a small and handy mobile phones. There are among them that can also be used trough touch screens. Another thing is that fax machine, Internet for chat and emails keep our communication often to our love ones and to other people.

Social networking has become so popular amongst youth that it might one day replace physical networking. It has evolved as a great medium to connect with millions of people with similar interests. Apart from finding long-lost friends, you can also look for job, business opportunities on forums, communities etc. Besides, there are chat rooms where users can meet new and interesting people. Some of them may even end up finding their life partners. Thanks for the technology it makes our life easy but don’t abuse it because it also have disadvantages.That's all. Thank you.HAHAHA ^_^
